Relationship

I guess you've figured out by now that blogging is not on our top 10 things to-do-list. And that's OK with me. I've never been a big writer anyways. But once in a while I get the feeling that I really want to blog today- and today is the day!

All that I want to share today is just something God encouraged me with the other day:
As long as I spend time with Him every day - through reading the Bible and talking with Him - in other words as long as I have a real relationship with Him, life has meaning. Things can be hard and you might feel like giving up, but as long as you have a relationship with God everything will be alright. In the end, your friendship with God is what's important.

Simple as that :)

God bless you and may your relationship with Him become more and more all that He intended for it to be.

Your Love Is Strong : Jon Foreman

Heavenly Father, you always amaze me
Let your kingdom come in my world and in my life
You give me the food I need to live through the day
And forgive me as I forgive the people that wrong me
Lead me far from temptation
Deliver me from the evil one

I look out the window the birds are composing
Not a note is out of tune or out of place
I walk to the meadow and stare at the flowers
Better dressed than any girl on her wedding day

So why should I worry?
Why do I freak out?
God knows what I need
You know what I need

Your love is
Your love is

Your love is strong

x3

The kingdom of the heavens, is now advancing
Invade my heart, invade this broken town
The kingdom of the heavens, is buried treasure
Would you sell yourself to buy the one you've found?

Two things you told me
That you are strong
And you love me
Yes you love me

Your love is
Your love is

Your love is strong

x3

Our God in heaven
Hallowed be
Thy name above all names
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us today our daily bread
Forgive us weary sinners
Keep us far away from our vices
And deliver us from these prisons

The near miss & JEHOVAH-SABAOTH on Postveien

Yesterday, driving on the way to Kvadrat shopping centre we had a close encounter of the almost crashing kind (including the Heavenly Hosts kind). At first we thought it was just some guy reversing CRAZY FAST from his driveway across both lanes of traffic on a main road. We (Kim, Sam & I) braked just in time, including the car in the oncoming lane. Either the driver was really really small, invisible or not present (turned out to be the latter).

The car rolled down out of a slanted driveway, across the road, up onto the footpath on the other side, hit the wood fence that then bent and almost allowed the car to continue down into someone's backyard/house. However, the fence acted like a slingshot and sent the car flying back across the road for the second time!

I put my HANDBRAKE on as you do, and flicked on my emergency lights jumped out of the car & then proceeded to try and open the driverless car's driver door (in hopes to turn on the HANDBRAKE). The door was locked. So i resorted to pushing on the side of the car to stop it from rolling backwards once again - while thinking, that fence doesn't look like it will stand another blow.

Then I noticed that someone had just opened the door at the culprits house and was poking his head out. I started waving frantically for him to come and help (not sure if any word successfully escaped my mouth, but i thought the situation was extremely obvious) - apparently not so. Culprit did some strange ("get away from my car") gesture, closed the door & went back inside. Did that just happen? What did he think i was doing with his car - stealing it?

The guy in the other car that also almost go hit {let's call him Hero#2 to make it easy} ;-) said, "Hadde han ikke håndbrekket på?" (Did he not have the hand brake on?). Answer - NO. Hero#2 jumped out of his car and helped to push the car further off the road. He grabbed a rock and stuck it under the wheel and then jumped back in his car. Being older & wiser than I, he realized that one rock was enough to stop a car moving. Thanks Hero#2!

I then considered going up to Culprit's house, to have a friendly chat, when i noticed that the traffic had actually started to pile up. So aborting that plan & before jumping back in our car I decided to chuck a couple of extra rocks under the wheels, just to be sure - which apparently put a smile on Hero#2 face :D

Thank you God (JEHOVAH-SABAOTH) for looking after us & for perfect timing. You & your angels rock!
